We are looking for a front-end engineer to work on innovative projects for Yahoo Search. We need someone who is a strong software engineer and also is interested in working with product and business leaders at the company to help define and execute a product vision. The candidate should be ready to take on the challenge of building products which will be used by millions of users globally on a highly scalable serving platform built on modern cloud technologies. Most importantly, the candidate should be ready to learn new technologies and interested in growing their knowledge base.

The candidate should have a strong front-end background with 3+ years of experience and a BS in Computer Science or a related field. Strong work experience will be considered if the candidate’s degree is in another field.

Important technologies include solid experience building modern web-based front ends (using tools such as React, Vue.js or equivalent). Candidates should have a strong background in CSS, HTML, vanilla Javascript coding as well as standard toolchains such as jQuery or equivalent. Strong experience with one or more CSS toolkits is also preferred. Candidates should also be accustomed to working in a modern development environment using such tools as Git, Continuous Integration/Deployment systems and the like.

The compensation for this position ranges from $111,000.00 – $231,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
