Black Coffee Robotics provides specialized consultancy and software development services to robotics businesses on all aspects of autonomy. We are motivated by our passion for building cutting edge technology, and our ability to deliver high quality solutions to a global market. Our past projects include developing and deploying large scale autonomous robot software for fleets of warehouse robots robots, floor cleaners, lawn mowers, assistive arms, boats. Additionally we provide specialized consulting, simulation and ROS/ROS2 development services.

Responsibilities

As a robotics intern you will be responsible for researching, developing, and testing robotics components, systems and simulations. On a day to day basis you will be working with technologies such as ROS, ROS2, Unity Sim, SLAM, Controls, and other robotics technologies. This is a remote role, and you will be collaborating with a highly skilled and experienced team of engineers and developers. We are looking for someone driven by a passion for developing robotic systems, and looking to work in a dynamic environment.

This position also comes with the potential of conversion to a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Demonstrable experience with robotics software and hardware, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and communication devices.
• Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python.
• Proficiency with ROS/ROS2.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and execute tasks in a timely manner
• Experience with simulation tools such as Gazebo or Unity is a plus
