As a Software Engineer at Anakin, who drives potentially complex and innovative projects with flexibility to learn trending technologies. The work includes developing ‘best fit’ products/solutions/applications using the latest web / mobile / big screen technologies and cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design / code / document and test components / subsystems in an Agile-Scrum setup.
• Adherence to established agile process and engineering practices.
• Volunteer for items in backlog and commit to quality delivery.
• Work closely with team to understand the needs and develop solutions for the same.
• Learn and adapt to trending technologies in a fast paced environment, while producing quick and quality output.
• Write, debug, lint and deploy code in a timely fashion that is technically sound, performant, scalable, and readable.
• Ensure release of bug-free code in each iteration and own as a team what’s released as part of the Sprint.
• Co-ordinate efforts across the team to ensure completion and effectiveness.
• Perform peer code reviews in order to ensure quality standards.
  

Essentials

• 0-1 years of experience in creating large, scalable systems with exposure to retail / e-commerce / healthcare / education / travel / cloud.
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or relevant field.
• Significant software engineering skills and computer science knowledge with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions.
• Proficient understanding of object oriented programming, functional programming, DBMS & ERDs (MySQL / PgSQL / MongoDb), Software Architecture, Sequence Diagrams, APIs (REST / GraphQL).
• Proficiency in Javascript, React, Express, NodeJs frameworks / libraries.
• Proficient understanding of development tools such as Git, Github / Bitbucket, VS Code, Web Tools, Postman / Insomnia, npm, webpack, linting etc.
• Proven experience in executing technical projects / products with an exceptional Github portfolio showcasing innovative solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of Unix / Linux.
  

Desirable

• Good knowledge about user experience which assists in delivering an end product having high quality UI.
• Experience in developing mobile applications using React Native library.
• Knowledge about Nginx / Apache servers and cloud platforms (AWS / DO / GCP).
• Knowledge in container concepts like docker, docker-compose, kubernetes.
