Job Responsibilities
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has played a pioneering role in the field of leadership and organisational development in India and wishes to extend this legacy by engaging with a new generation of students and researchers.
Interns are expected to provided operational support in executing the centre’s various activities such as events (online/physical), communique/newsletter writing, consulting projects and internal coordination with other department as well as bringing to fruition the centre’s strategic vision as required. Interns may also develop and pitch their own research ideas during the course of the internship. Interns will benefit from the vibrant campus life of IIMA and access to one of the best libraries on business and management in India. They may also audit courses taught by centre faculty based on case-to-case approval.
Requirements
The ideal applicant is a Master’s or Bachelor’s level student in Business Administration/Management. Students and researchers pursuing other degrees and professions, working in other management-related fields are also encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate how they can contribute and learn during the internship. Applicants must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working. Prior exposure to data analysis software (SPSS, STATA, R) is not mandatory but welcomed.
Internship Details
The internship can take place anytime during the year, full-time, for a period of three months. The Intern can avail internet and library facilities at the IIMA campus but will need to be based in the city of Ahmedabad and will have to arrange for accommodation on their own outside the campus.
Honorarium: Selected Intern will be paid appropriate honorarium/stipend at the end of the internship and after the receipt of an internship project report as per the Institute norms.
